He has the resemblance of hue of emerald, squashed the trees with his chest and thrashing the animals.  He shone like an elephant on the top of the mountain Mahendragiri, which is the dwelling place of best elephants, flourished with rich minerals and rocks of varied colors, residing place of Yaksha, Kinnaras and Gandharva with their families.

Hanuman offered prayers with folded hands to Lord Surya, Lord Indra, Lord Vayu and Lord Brahma and Panchaboothas.  He turned to east and offered salutation to his father Lord Vayu and assumed a gigantic form and preceded his journey.  While all the monkey warriors witnessing, Hanuman grew into colossal size and pressed the mountain strongly with his feet and hands, Mount Mahendragiri crushed under his feet and the trees showered flowers all over the mountain resembled like the mountain of flowers, water in various colors gushed out from the mountain creating various water sources by the firmness of feet of Hanuman, animals dwells in caves in mountain were shrieked out, earth filled with the horrifying noises of the animals lived in the Mahendragiri.  The venomous snakes lived in the mountain phew out poisonous flames and thrashed themselves on the rocks resulted in breaking into pieces.  The medicinal herbs of the mountain could not withstand the poisonous flame.  The ascetics of the Mahendragiri thought of it were the wicked act of demons.   The Vidhyadharas who were settled in the mountain abruptly left with their families, leaving behind all the expensive vessels and sumptuous meal.  The Vidhyadharas were in an intoxicated state with reddened eyes, decked with various ornaments, garlands of fresh alluring flowers, and smeared sandal paste.  The Vidhyadharas and ascetic stood in the sky, awe fully witnessed the mountain, and soon the Siddhas, Charanas and Rishis were gathered and exclaimed “Hanuman, son of Lord Vayu, who is in the form of a huge mountain with great speed crossing the vast ocean of deadliest creatures.  He wants to perform the impossible task for Rama and Vanaras, desired to reach on the other side of the vast ocean.  Vidhyadharas listened to the words of Rishis and looked at Hanuman, best among the monkey warrior, who has the resemblance of mountain, quake his hair and let out a great roar, shoved his long tail covered with hair and flew in the sky like a King of birds, like a huge serpent was pecked by Garuda.  Hanuman who stood on the top of mountain firmly holding it with his huge iron club like arms, bending shoulder and neck, gathered his enormous energies and courage, raised his eyes and spoke to the Vanaras, “I will go to the city of Lanka at the speed of wind, like an arrow released by Rama.  If I did not find Sita, daughter of Janaka in Lanka, I will proceed and search in the abodes of deities in the same speed.   If I did not find Sita, I will put Ravana under chains and bring him.  I will successfully return with Sita, otherwise I will return with the city of Lanka along with Ravana.”  Saying so Hanuman flew into the air like the King of birds, Garuda.  Due to his vital force, the trees with full of flowers were uprooted and flew into various directions, followed Hanuman up to a distance, like warriors following the King, and sunk into the ocean.  Hanuman flew like a mountain of fireflies with various colors of flowers all over his body for a short distance and fallen on the ocean, which shone like sky with full of stars.  Hanuman flew with extended arms and legs has the resemblance of five hooded serpent shoved out of the mountain, his eyes were shone like two fire balls has the resemblance of sun and moon, his face was glowing in the twilight, his tails were resembled like pillar raised in honor of Lord Indra.  The son of Lord Vayu resembled like Lord Aditya, air passing through his arm pit sounded like thunder, has the resemblance of meteoroid darting to northern direction, his shadow fallen on the vast ocean has the resemblance of a boat, sea waters were disturbed by the speed of his thighs, eventually it created huge waves.  While flying over the vast ocean with the colossal body, shadow of Hanuman appeared on the ocean water that was spread over thirty yojanas, which has the resemblance of mountain flying without wings, deities, Gandharvas and Dhanavas showered flowers on Hanuman who was darting through the thick clouds.  Lord Aditya reduced its scorching heat in order to help Hanuman who is on a mission to assist Rama of Ikshvaku dynasty; Lord Vayu served with cool breeze.  The deities, Nagas, Yakshas, Rakshasas, Sages, Gandharvas and birds eulogized the glories of Hanuman.

The Samudhrarajan spoke to the Mount Mainaka who was hidden under the ocean “ I am flourished with the help of Sagara of Ikshvaku dynasty, Hanuman who is in a mission to assist the descendant of Ikshvaku dynasty should not get exhausted, I have to receive him with great honor and he should relax for a while to proceed his further journey at ease.  Oh! Mainaka, best among the mountains positioned by Lord Indra at the entrance of netherworld to create hindrance to the demons dwelling in the Patalloka, you have the capabilities to grow wide and large.  The fearless Hanuman, selfless assistant of Ikshvaku Dynasty, respectable and courageous one is all prepared to fulfill the impossible task for Rama, he is our guest, he should be venerated, therefore raise up above the water.  Oh! Mount Mainaka, worshipped by deities and Gandharvas, you are capable to assist Rama & Sita who is on their exile, and help Hanuman who can relax to proceed before further journey.”  Mount Mainaka who has the golden hue and has the resemblance of thousand Adityas, covered with water in various directions, dwelling places of great serpents and Kinnaras, rose up at a huge length and wide high in the sky from the water instantly.  Hanuman thought it was a huge obstacle before him, rising in the middle of ocean.  Immediately Hanuman rushed like wind to crack the mountain with his chest, Mount Mainaka assumed human form and enthusiastically spoke “Oh! Vanaroththama, you have performed the most difficult task of crossing the vast ocean.  I sincerely pray to you to visit our peak and freshen up.  The Sagararajan was flourished by the Ikshvaku Dynasty; therefore Sagarajan desired to reveal his gratitude to the Raghu dynasty and worships you as well.  I have been persisted by Sagararajan to advise you to relax in the mountain after crossing hundred Yojanas.  I request you to stay for a while in the mountain peak and continue your journey.  We have varieties of tuber and fruits to offer you. Oh! Kapimukhya, son of Lord Vayu, I am confident that you are capable to cross the vast ocean with great speed.  A virtuous guest like you is always should be venerated, I will narrate you a legend and the reason for the worship of you.  In Kritha Yuga, the mountains had wings and they had the speed like Lord Vayu and Garuda, they often fly in various directions as they desired.  The deities, Sages and the living creatures in the mountain were in a constant trepidation that it will cause complete annihilation of the creatures lived in the mountain.  At this point of time, Lord Indra who had performed hundreds of Ashwamedha ritual began to cut off the wings of thousands of mountains with his Vajrayudha, when Lord Indra approached me, I was thrown into this vast ocean by the force of Lord Vayu, your father, thus I have saved without any harm.  Oh! Mahakape, Therefore I respect you and our relationship has great virtues, accept our hospitalities and relax for a while, in this way respect the veneration of myself and Samudrarajan. ” Hanuman replied “I am happy to listen to your words of utmost kindness, I have accepted your hospitalities, and it removed my fatigue as well.    The day is almost over, I have made promise to accomplish the task and my duty prompting me to proceed further, I should not pause in the middle of my important task and I should not neglect it.”  He touched the mountain with a smile and flew high in the sky.  Samudrarajan and Mount Mainaka showered blessings on Hanuman.

Hanuman enthusiastically followed the path of Lord Vayu, all the deities and Siddhas praised the valor of Hanuman.  The deities and Lord Indra was delighted at the cordiality of Mount Mainaka and promised continuous protection to him, praised the hospitalities offered to Hanuman who was on a mission to complete the difficult task for Rama, Son of Dhasharatha.  Mount Mainaka was extremely happy to witness all the deities and Lord Indra.  The deities, Siddhas, Gandharvas and Sages spoke to Surasa, Nagamatha who has the brilliance of Lord Aditya “ The glorious son of Lord Vayu, Hanuman is crossing the vast ocean. You have to create impediments to him by assuming horrific form.  We desire to witness his intelligence and strength.”  Instantly, Goddess Surasa assumed a dreadful form and appeared before Hanuman, she spoke “ Oh! Vanararshaba ! The deities has given you as my feast, enter into my mouth at once.”  Hanuman with folded hands replied “ Oh! Nagamatha, Rama, son of Dhasharatha arrived at the forest of Dandakavanam with his younger brother Lakshmana and wife Sita. The demons distracted the attention of Rama and abducted his wife Sita by Ravana.  I am the messenger of Rama to help him and you too apt to help him in this matter.  Otherwise, I promise you that I will return after informing the whereabouts of Sita to Rama.” Surasa, Nagamatha answered “No one can neglect me; I have obtained the boon from the deities.  You have to enter into my mouth right now and it was the boon I have received from Lord Brahma.” Surasa wide opened her mouth up to twenty Yojanas, Hanuman was annoyed by her action extended his mouth up to thirty Yojanas, Surasa made to forty Yojanas and Hanuman made to fifty Yojanas, Surasa extended up to Sixty Yojanas, Hanuman in to seventy Yojanas, Surasa into eighty Yojanas, Hanuman increased his size into ninety Yojanas, Surasa too wide opened her mouth, instantly Hanuman reduced his size into the size of his thumb and darted to the mouth of Surasa and got out of immediately.  He flew up in the sky and spoke “Oh! Dhakshayani, my salutation to you, your boon has come true; I have entered in to your mouth.  I am leaving now.”  Seeing Hanuman released from her mouth like the moon got out of the mouth of Rahu, instantaneously Surasa assumed her real form and showered blessings on him.  All the deities were eulogized the valor of Hanuman.

Hanuman who has the pace of Garuda darted through the clouds was witnessed by the birds, Airavatha, elephants, lions, tigers, Sages, Rishis, Virtuous, Gandharvas, Siddhas, Charanas, Vidhyadharas, Nagas, Yakshas.  Everyone praised the fearlessness of the son of Lord Vayu who was flying high in the sky like the King of birds, Garuda.  A demon named Simhika who can assume any form at her will thought “ I have got an animal into my hold after a long time, it will be a sumptuous meal today.” Soon Hanuman felt his movements were restricted, Simhika who is also known as Chayyagrahi pulled back the shadow of Hanuman who was flying high in the sky.  Hanuman saw the dreadful form of Simhika in the middle of the ocean, remembered the words of Sugriva who warned about the Chayyagrahi.  Hanuman stretched his body into large size; Simhika too extended her body up to Pathalloka and rushed towards Hanuman, with her mouth wide opened.  While the Siddhas and Charans were witnessing, Hanuman reduced the size of his body and entered into her mouth like a full moon is swallowed by Rahu.  At once, Hanuman assumed his colossal form and rips open her internal organ with his sharp nails, and flew out of her mouth with great speed; eventually Simhika fell into the water with a great thud.    The deities, Sages, Rishis, Siddhas, Charanas were eulogized the valor of Hanuman “ Oh! Vanarendra, who has possessed the qualities of courage, vision, skill and intellect, /Dhrithir/Dhrushti/Mathir/Dhakshyam will never fail.  You have possessed all those virtues in you.” Hanuman entered into the sky path at the speed of Garuda.  At the end of the hundred Yojanas, Hanuman saw the cluster of trees at the end of the other shore, saw an island of various trees in the woods of Malaya.  Hanuman who has the capabilities to assume any form as he desires, witnessed the entire surroundings with controlled sense and thought that the demons will be curious to watch his gigantic body, gradually reduced his size of the body into normal, it was like Lord Vishnu assumed the body of dwarf who thrashed the pride of Bali in three strides.  He looked like a huge mass of cloud at the peak of Lamba which is the place of magnificent wood of Kedaki, Uddhalaka and coconut etc..  Hanuman observed the city of Lanka from the top of the mountain, glorious city which has the resemblance of Amaravati, capital of Lord Indra.
